Augmented Reality glasses/goggles that can pair (normally wireless) with compies, smart weapons, and other devices. They can overlay information as a Heads Up Display (hence the name) or even display full opaque video to function as a classic VR rig. Most incorporate audio output either through earbuds or bone conduction. Typical HUDsets include at least basic video cameras and microphones, though more advanced sets (especially military) can include full sensor suites for thermal, radar, ultrasound, etc, and add additional visual and auditory protection measures.

Basic video features can be found in contact lens format, though these only work as displays for paired devices.
